Yashish Dahiya received a B.Tech. in Textile Technology from IIT Delhi in 1994, a PG Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad in 1996 and an MBA from INSEAD in 2001.
Mr. Dahiya is currently the Group CEO & Co-Founder of Policybazaar.com. In over 12 years he has grown Policybazaar to become a key influencer in consumer decisions around insurance, hosting over 100 million visitors a year on its platform. He strongly believes that customers in India need more financial cover for death, disease, and disability and while this is a huge social need, it is also the answer for the long-term profitability of the insurance industry. The firm is the largest digital distributor of Insurance in India.
Mr Dahiya was honored with the EY Entrepreneur of The Year (EOY) 2019 award in the Financial Services category. He received this award for revolutionizing the insurance sector with his disruptive thinking and bold vision, EY said in a press statement.
Mr. Dahiya is an avid sportsperson and is the Indian masters swimming champion and represents India at world masters swimming championships regularly. He holds the 3rd fastest half ironman timing and the 5th fastest Ironman timings amongst Indians across all age groups and has the fastest timings in his age group. He was the board of Sports Association General Secretary and the Best outgoing sportsman for his graduating batch at IIT Delhi.
Before starting his entrepreneurial journey with Policybazaar, Mr. Dahiya was the Managing Director of ebookers.com, a leading pan-European online travel distributor and worked as a strategy consultant with Bain & Co. in their London Office.
